“Being a member of the board is my way of giving back and contributing to an organization that I think works for something super important”
What made you want to apply to DataTjej's board?
When I started programming, DataTjejs events were a great support for me. Being a member of the board is my way of giving back and contributing to an organization that I think works for something super important - to increase diversity in a male-dominated industry.
What do you study or work with?
I am currently parental leave and will begin a new job as cyber security officer after several years as an economist.
What have you studied?
I have completed a master's degree in marketing and masters in management, communication and IT. During parental leave, I plugged programming on my own.
What's the best thing about Data Girl?
That we have so many activities, all over the country, where women and non-men get a chance to network, be inspired and learn something new. Through our partnerships with business, we allow our members to be seen by the companies and thus push for inclusion in the tech industry. In addition, we have both the job portal and a mentoring program, so we really work on a broad front and I think that is cool!
Program, watch movies and eat! We have just procured chickens so now I geek out about how we make them feel at their best.
